LAGOS – The Police in Lagos have reportedly rescued two blood sisters who were allegedly trafficked to the state for slave wage job without the consent of their parents.
The victims, according to police sources were brought from Cross- River State by one Emeka, said to be at large.
However, a suspect identified as Jude Nnakire, aged 34 years has been apprehended in connection with the crime.
He was said to have been arrested on 25th May, 2018 while taking the victims named Deborah Otim, 20 years and Gift Otim, 17 years, to an unknown destination at about 4.45pm.

It was gathered that the suspect, who resides at Bemigo Street in Ajangbadi area of Ojo Local Government Council area of the state was arrested by detectives from Ilemba Hausa Division headed by CSP. Alim Musa Modibo.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police Edgal Imohimi confirmed the arrest during a press briefing at the command’s headquarters.

” The victims were allegedly brought to Lagos by one Emeka”m” other names not yet known, under the pretence of getting them a job without the consent of their parents “, Edgal stated.
He added that the victims are currently in protective custody, while effort is on to locate their biological parents.
The Commissioner said investigation is ongoing with a view to arrest the fleeing Emeka, adding that the suspect will be charged to court at the completion of investigation.
