THERE SHALL NO STRANGE ‘’GOD’’ BE FOUND IN THEE, THUS SAITH THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD.

In PSALM 81:9 it is written, and I quote, ‘’There shall NO strange god be in thee, neither shall thou worship any strange god.’’ In obedience to this commandment of the Lord, Jacob ordered his entire household to cleanse themselves of all the strange gods that were among them, when God commanded Jacob to arise and go up to Bethel to dwell there and make there an altar unto Him, as written in GENESIS 35:1-3. In GENESIS 35:4, it is written and I quote, ‘’And they (Jacob’s household ) gave unto Jacob all the strange gods which were in their hand and all the EARRINGS which were in their EARS, and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem.’’

Earrings were some of the strange gods of Egypt which the people of Israel especially the women, took along with them while leaving Egypt to the Promised Land. With the golden earrings in their ears, Aaron even made unto them ‘gods’, for which the people of Israel requested, as written in EXODUS 32:1-4, which reads “…And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings which are in the ears of your WIVES, of your SONS, and of your DAUGHTERS, and bring them unto me. And all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron. And he received them at their hands, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.” Thus, these golden earrings were moulded into ‘gods’.

The world is spiritual Egypt. Earrings are the strange gods of the Gentile nations, inherited by harlot believers in Christ who love the fashion of this world and the things of this world, whereas true believers are warned by the Spirit of truth, not to love the world neither the things that are in the world, and its fashions, as written in 1 JOHN 2:15.

It may be shocking to know that behind every strange god there is a demon (evil spirit). To buttress this fact, a Christian sister once had a revelation in which she saw herself by the river side and she saw a mermaid spirit asking her to come and join them inside the river, making her to know that she belonged to them because the earrings in her ears and the attachment on her hair were their property. At this point she woke up from the revelation, frightened.

Christian women, who are born of the Spirit of God, must know that they have become the temples of the living God. God’s temples must not be defiled by these ‘strange’ gods called earrings because in 1 CORINTHIANS3:17, it is written, ‘’If any man defiles the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are”. Holy women of God are warned in EZEKIEL 20:7, not to DEFILE themselves with the idols of Egypt. And earrings have become the idols of the world, which most women who profess to be believers in Christ, find VERY DIFFICULT TO GIVE UP!

In GENESIS 1:27, it is written and I quote, “SO GOD CREATED MAN IN HIS OWN IMAGE, IN THE IMAGE OF GOD CREATED HE HIM; MALE AND FEMALE CREATED HE THEM. And in GENESIS 1:31 it is written “AND GOD SAW EVERYTHING THAT HE HAD MADE, AND BEHOLD IT WAS VERY GOOD”.

If therefore, male and female were both created in the image of God, it means therefore, the “holes”, artificially bored in the ears of majority of our females, have disfigured the perfect image of God. No female child was born into this world with “holes” in the ears. How come about the “holes” in the ears of our females whom God created in His image? It is nothing but Satan’s invention to disfigure the image of God.

The boring of holes in the ear originated from the Law of Moses and it was a mark of servitude (slavery) which we shall read in DEUTERONOMY 15:17, and I quote, ‘’THEN THOU SHALT TAKE AN AUL AND THRUST IT THROUGH HIS EAR UNTO THE DOOR, AND HE SHALL BE THY SERVANT FOR EVER. AND ALSO UNTO THY MAID-SERVANT THOU SHALT DO LIKEWISE.’’ And we all know that believers in Christ, have been redeemed by the death of Jesus, from the ceremonial laws of Moses, that is from the CURSE of the law of Moses, as written in GALATIANS 3:13, and I quote, ‘’CHRIST HATH REDEEMED US FROM THE CURSE OF THE LAW, BEING MADE A CURSE FOR US. FOR IT IS WRITTEN, CURSED IS VERY ONE THAT HANGETH ON A TREE.’’

AND YE SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH, AND THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE!
