CELEBRATION OF CHRIST: JESUS, THE LORD KING DAVID
In the gospel of Mark 12:35-35 our Lord Jesus Christ declares himself the Lord of king David. “How can the scribes say that the Christ is the son of David? David himself, inspired by the Holy Spirit, declared, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand, till I put your enemies under your feet.’ David himself calls him Lord; so how is he his son?”And the great throng heard him gladly.” In his letter to the Philippians St. Paul affirmed the Lordship of our Lord Jesus Christ, “Therefore God also highly exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” Jesus Christ is not just the Lord of king David He is also the Lord of lords and the Lord of heaven and earth. To him be glory and praise both now and forevermore – Amen!

PROPHETIC MESSAGE: YOU WILL NOT SUFFER IN VAIN
In his second letter to Timothy 3:10-17 St Paul narrates his ordeal: “You have observed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness, my persecutions, my sufferings, what befell me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra what persecutions I endured; yet from them all the Lord rescued me.” St. Paul went through hell but the good thing about him as he rightly wrote is that the Lord did not abandon him. He rescued him from all the evil attacks. In that same letter St. Paul told Timothy and all of us who are following Christ, “Indeed all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil men and imposters will go on from bad to worse, deceivers and deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the Sacred Writings which are able to instruct you for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.” Persecution is not a sign of failure. It is in fact, a necessary experience which every child of God must pass through. However, after rain comes sunshine. Child of God, no matter what you are passing through in life the Lord God will surely rescue you. He will not allow you to suffer in vain. You will be rewarded and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!

Celebration of Christ: Jesus, the Master and Defender of Widows
Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Voice of the voiceless the Defender of the defenseless. In the gospel of Mark 12:38-44 Jesus sat down opposite the treasury, and watched the multitude putting money into the treasury. Many rich people put in large sums. And a poor widow came, and put in two copper coins, which make a penny. And he called his disciples to him, and said to them, “Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the treasury. For they all contributed out of their abundance; but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, her whole living.” With this affirmation Jesus proved to the world that everybody, including the poor widows are important before God. Again nobody is so poor that he or she has nothing to offer; and nobody is so rich that he has nothing to receive. As rich as he was Jesus also accepted the gift of a poor widow. You can imagine how this poor widow felt when Jesus accepted her gift and even declared that her gift was the best. Child of God, may God bless you as you offer your widow’s mite.

PROPHETIC MESSAGE: YOU SHALL RECEIVE THE CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
There is a reward for every good work. In his second letter to Timothy 4:1-8, St. Paul proudly declares, “For I am already on the point of being sacrificed; the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.” We are all in a heavenly race. Like St. Paul we are fighting a spiritual battle. As we keep the faith till the end we must surely be rewarded. Child of God, in your spiritual battle, the enemies will not defeat you! In your heavenly race, you will not stubble on the way. You will surely receive the crown of glory and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!

Celebration of Christ: Jesus, our Elder Brother
Jesus did not allow himself to be limited by his tribe or even his family. He was the Man of the people. In the gospel of Mark 3:20-35 his mother and brethren came looking for him and as they were standing outside they sent to him and called him. And a crowd was sitting about him; and they said to him, “Your mother and your brethren are outside, asking for you.” And he replied, “Who are my mother and my brethren?” And looking around on those who sat about him, he said, “Here are my mother and my brethren! Whoever does the will of God is my brother, and sister, and mother.” With this declaration Jesus is indeed our Elder Brother. He is not just the brothers of the Jews but our universal Elder brother. Child of God, as long as you doing the will of God you are a brother and a sister of our Lord Jesus Christ. To him be glory and praise both now and forevermore- Amen!

Prophetic Message: You will never be Homeless
Our Lord Jesus Christ assured his followers that He is going to prepare a place for them (John 14:1-3) In his second letter to the Corinthians 4:13-5:1 St Paul declares, “Though our outer man is wasting away, our inner man is being renewed every day. For this slight momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, because we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.” Child of God, as long as you are in Christ Jesus there is a dwelling place prepared for you. Even if you do not have a place to live in this earthly world, the Lord God is preparing a better place for you in His heavenly kingdom. It shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!

Christology: Jesus, our channel of Blessing
The gospel of Matthew 5:1-12 presents our Lord Jesus Christ as our channel of blessing. In the beatitude our Lord Jesus Christ taught his followers the secret of blessing. he said to them: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so men persecuted the prophets who were before you.” Child of God, our Lord Jesus Christ has already given you the secret of divine blessings. These blessings will be yours if only you live your life in accordance to God’s will. As you do so you will be richly blessed in Jesus name – Amen!

Prophetic Message: You are Christ Ambassador
In all their missionary journeys the Apostles recorded success at Antioch. As the author of Acts 11:21-26; 13:1-3 narrates: “In those days: a great number became believers and turned to the Lord. 22 News of this came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to Antioch. When he came and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced, and he exhorted them all to remain faithful to the Lord with steadfast devotion; for he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a great many people were brought to the Lord. Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul, and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for an entire year they met with the church and taught a great many people, and it was in Antioch that the disciples were first called “Christians.” It was the success of the early apostles in their missionary work that gave them the famous title, “Christians” which means followers of Christ or if you like, Christ’ ambassadors. An ambassador of Christ is one who represents Christ here on earth. To be a true ambassador of Christ one has to model his or her life in accordance of that of Christ Jesus. Child of God, as you live a righteous life the Lord will raise you to a position of a heavenly ambassador. People will see Christ in you and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!

Christology: Jesus, the Light of the World
In the gospel of John 8:12 our Lord Jesus Christ introduced himself as the Light of the world. In Matthew 5:13-16 he told his followers: “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a bushel, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Our Lord Jesus Christ is not just the Light of the world his followers are also the light of the world. With him, there is no darkness at all. And to him be gory and praise both now and forevermore – Amen!

Prophetic Message: Your jar of meal will never dry Up
In 1 Kings 17:7-16 when there was famine in the land the Lord God directed Elijah to a widow in Zarephath, saying, “Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. Behold, I have commanded a widow there to feed you So he arose and went to Zarephath; and when he came to the gate of the city, behold, a widow was there gathering sticks; and he called to her and said, “Bring me a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.” And as she was going to bring it, he called to her and said, “Bring me a morsel of bread in your hand.”
And she said, “As the LORD your God lives, I have nothing baked, only a handful of meal in a jar, and a little oil in a pitcher; and now, I am gathering a couple of sticks, that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son that we may eat it, and die.”And Elijah said to her, “Fear not; go and do as you have said; but first make me a little cake of it and bring it to me, and afterward make for yourself and your son. For thus says the LORD the God of Israel, ‘The jar of meal shall not be spent, and the pitcher of oil shall not fail, until the day that the LORD sends rain upon the earth.’ And she went and did as Elijah said; and she, and he, and her household ate for many days. The jar of meal was not spent, neither did the pitcher of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD which he spoke by Elijah.” Child of God, as long as you are working for God, the Lord will not allow you to die of hunger. He will surely raise people who will provide for your daily bread. For those who support Messengers of God, you will never regret! As you support the true Men of God in their mission your jar of meal will never dry up. it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!

Celebration of Christ: Jesus, the Law Abiding Citizen
In the gospel of Matthew 5:17-19 our Lord Jesus Christ said, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfil them. For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the law until all is accomplished. Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”Our Lord Jesus Christ is not just a law giver, He is also a law abiding citizen. He was not a rebel. He also wants his followers to be law-abiding. With him, there is peace and order and To him be glory and praise both now and forever – Amen!

Prophetic Message The Lord will Answer you by Fire
The author 1 Kings 18:20-39 narrates how the Lord God answered Elijah by fire. After the prophets of baal failed; Elijah summoned the people. And he said, “Fill four jars with water, and pour it on the burnt offering, and on the wood.” And he said, “Do it a second time”; and they did it a second time. And he said, “Do it a third time”; and they did it a third time. And the water ran round about the altar, and filled the trench also with water. And at the time of the offering of the oblation, Elijah the prophet came near and said, “O LORD, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that you are God in Israel, and that I am your servant, and that I have done all these things at your word. Answer me, O LORD, answer me, that this people may know that you, O LORD, are God, and that you have turned their hearts back.” Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt offering, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, “The LORD, he is God; the LORD, he is God.” Child of God, as the Lord God answered Elijah by fire He will also answer your prayers. He will surely grant your heart desire and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!

Christology: Jesus, the Righteous Messiah
Our Lord Jesus Christ was a righteous Man. He also taught his disciple how to live a life of righteousness. In the gospel of Matthew 5:20-26 he told his disciples, “Unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. “You have heard that it was said to the men of old, ‘You shall not kill; and whoever kills shall be liable to judgment.’ But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother shall be liable to the council, and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be liable to the hell of fire. So if you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.” One cannot give what He does not have. Jesus was able to teach his disciple how to live righteously because He himself lived a righteous life. he is indeed the most Righteous Man the world has ever known. To him be glory and praise both now and forevermore – Amen!

Prophetic Message: The Hand of the Lord is upon you
Elijah was not just an ordinary Prophet. He was a prophet with a difference. The Lord honours his words. The Lord God used him to stop the rain and when the appointed time came the Lord also used him to restore the rain. In 1 Kings 18:41-46 the Lord sent him to Ahab, with the message “Go up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of the rushing of rain.” So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he bowed himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees… And in a little while the heavens grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode and went to Jezreel. And the hand of the LORD was on Elijah” Child of God, as a messenger of the Most High God, the hand of the Lord will always be upon you. He will use you as He used Elijah. He will never forsake you. Like Elijah, you will surely succeed and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!
