The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has assured the state command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), of support and collaboration in the management of road traffic and reduction of road crashes.

Obaseki gave the assurance when he played host to the new Edo State Sector Commander of FRSC, Mr. Anthony Oko, who called at the Government House, in Benin City.

The governor said that the state will collaborate with the FRSC on traffic management, noting that efforts will be made to strengthen collaboration between the FRSC and the Edo State Traffic Management Agency (EDSTMA) to ensure free flow of traffic across the state.

He added that with the state’s status as a transportation hub, there is need for even stronger collaboration between the two traffic management bodies.
