Jesus Christ in Matthew19:6 defines a true marriage as the joining together by God of a man and a woman to become one flesh. And Jesus Christ says in verse 5, that such a man, so joined together in marriage, should leave father and mother, and cleave to his wife. The wife, also should forget her own people, and her father’s house, as written in PSALM 45:10. This means that family interference should not be encouraged in any marriage.
The first marriage, ordained by God took place in the Garden of Eden, when God created a woman out of Adam’s rib and brought her to him, and both of them became one flesh-GENESIS 2:22-23. Therefore, the original plan of God for man was one man, one wife, and not one man, two or more wives or concubines outside one’s matrimonial home.
The other true marriage, ordained by God, was when God joined Isaac and Rebecca- Genesis 24:50-51. It means GOD’S choice of a life partner in a true marriage MUST COME FROM THE LORD. In PROVERBS 19:14, it is written that a prudent wife (or a prudent husband) is from the Lord. The children of God, who are joined together by Him, must not be put asunder, EXCEPT FOR FORNICATION, as written in MATTHEW 19:9, and I quote, “and I say unto you, whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery; and whosoever marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.”
The purpose of marriage, amongst believers and unbelievers alike, is, first and foremost, to avoid fornication, as written in 1 CORINTHIANS 7:2, and I quote, “NEVERTHELESS, TO AVOID FORNICATION, LET EVERY MAN HAVE HIS OWN WIFE , AND LET EVERY WOMAN HAVE HER OWN HUSBAND.” That is why fornication is the only ground upon which Jesus allows putting away, even if that marriage is ordained by God, Marriage that is ordained by God, must therefore, be honourable, and the bed must not be defiled, otherwise such believers in Christ, who defile the bed before marriage, shall come under God’s judgment, after the marriage, as written in Hebrews 13:4 and I quote, “Marriage is honourable in all and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.”
It is important to know also, that not all couples, who are joined together by clergymen, are ordained by God. God, who is not man that He should lie, says in JEREMIAH 5:26, and I quote, “For among my people are found wicked men (women): they lay wait, as he (she) that setteth snares, they set trap, they catch men (women).” In the world today and in churches, there are both the children of the kingdom and the children of the wicked one, the devil-MATTHEW 13:38. The children of the wicked one shall be known by their fruits and by the gift of discerning of spirits of genuine servants of God, who have this gift. The assignment of these children of the wicked one, amongst the people of God, is to catch genuine children of God, and seduce them into an unholy alliance in marriage.
Therefore, the wicked, that is, the children of the wicked one, the devil, are joined to one another, in marriage, by Satan through his ministers. And the foundation of such a marriage between two children of the devil, is crooked and can never be made straight, because it is written in ECCLESIASTES 1:15a, and I quote, “That which is crooked cannot be made straight.”
Therefore, if any clergyman or any pastor, who has not the gift of discerning of spirits, joins a child of God in marriage to any child of the devil, it is not God that has joined them together. And the soul of that child of God, in such a marriage is in great danger, because many children of God in such marriages, have been slain spiritually, by these children of the devil, to whom they are married. They are the mixed multitude in a true church. Ahab, the king of Israel, was married to Jezebel, a child of the devil, a witch, and the bible recorded that there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the Lord, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up – 1 KINGS 21:25.
These children of the devil stir up their husbands unto rebellion and stubbornness to the truth, seducing their husbands from doing that which is right in the sight of God, so that they may continue to incur the anger of God, because God is angry with the wicked EVERY DAY-PSALM 7:11. And the whorish women amongst these wicked children of the devil, bring their husbands to a piece of bread, as written in PROVERBS 6:26. They will even turn the hearts of their husbands, in latter years, away from following the true God, unto their own gods or unto their lusts. That was why God warned the children of Israel in DEUTERONOMY 7:3-4, and I quote, “NEITHER SHALT THOU MAKE MARRIAGES WITH THEM. THY DAUGHTER, THOU SHALT NOT GIVE UNTO HIS SON, NOR HIS DAUGHTER THOU SHALT NOT TAKE UNTO THY SON. FOR THEY WILL TURN AWAY THY SON FROM FOLLOWING ME, THAT THEY MAY SERVE OTHER gods, AND SO, WILL THE ANGER OF THE LORD BE KINDLED AGAINST YOU AND DESTROY THEE SUDDENLY.” This was what happened to King Solomon, who transgressed this commandment of God-1KINGS 11:1-2, 4, 6.
In EPHESIANS 6:11, Christians are warned to put on the whole armour of God, that they may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. And the most dangerous of these wiles of the devil, is this unholy alliance of a child of God in marriage to a child of the devil. And the most important of this whole armour of God, that will deliver the children of God, from this unholy alliance, is the TRUTH.
