BENIN CITY: Kada Cinema and Entertainment Centre, at the weekend, celebrated its 5th anniversary with the less privileged in the society.

The event which drew over 120 orphans and physically challenged persons from four orphanages and care homes,provided them the rare opportunity to interact with other children and enjoy various the entertainment varieties available at the centre.

The visibly elated children were drawn from Project Charilove, Corner Stone Orphanage, Otonssye Orphanage and My Mummy’s Orphanage, all in Benin City.

The children were treated to free games ride at the Playtime Arcade section and later settled down to watch a movie titled : “The But Cracker And The Four Realms”

They had earlier on arrival, received by by the management team and immediately taken on a guided tour of facilities before settling down for a lunch.

Addressing journalists on the 5th anniversary celebration, the Managing Director, Mr Trevor Pillay said it is the tradition of Kada Plaza to always commemorate the anniversary with the less privileged in the society as a way of giving them a sense if belonging to the larger society.

He disclosed that activities marking the 5th anniversary began on Friday and climaxed on Sunday with the hosting of the less privileged in the society.

The Managing Director listed free health check for members of the at the Kada Healthcare and Pharmacy,Spend and Win Promo as some of the gestures aimed at giving back to its esteemed customers in its corporate responsibility drive.

He noted that Kada Plaza identifies with the vision of the Edo state government in job creation, adding that the centre is contributing its modest quota in reducing unemployment burden in the state.

While alluding that the entertainment industry holds great economic potential for the nation, Mr Trevor restated the centre’s commitment to providing quality services by giving value to customers’ money at all times.
