BENIN CITY – Benin Insurance FC of Benin host Sunshine Stars of Akure in Benin City Today in must win match day 21 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) inside the University of Benin Sports Complex. Time is 4:0 PM with all other engagement across the nation being played simultaneously, according to LMC statement.

Knowing that their surviving the relegation battle in the current Nigeria Professional Football League depends on winning Match Day 21 game,the Benin arsenal cannot handle the round leather battle with Sunshine Stars. They ended their first round encounter in one all draw in Akure with Insurance scoring first.

Insurance need six points to be very sure of remaining in the premier league but unfortunately, the league only has two games to go,beginning with the must win match against Sunshine on Monday and their last game with Rivers Utd in far away Portharcut next week Sunday.

Insurance have 25 points with 12 goals for and against to closely follow their visitors who are also relegation threatened. Sunshine Stars have 26 points with 19 goals for and against.

Wikki Tourists and Katsina Utd are not very safe. Both northern clubs are on 27 points and have games with league leaders, Rangers and Enyimba respectively. While the two northern clubs, including Insurance and Sunshine Stars fight for survival,the Eastern superpowers fight for who top the group to super six player off.

The question is can Insurance afford not to fight for their lives? If they beat Sunshine Stars in Benin, can they beat Rivers Utd  in Portharcut or get a draw to expect miracles from the god of soccer in some other ends. That is for their rivals to drop points.

It is going to be battle of survival and supremacy as the league winds up between now and next week Sunday.

Insurance must first of all beat Sunshine Stars in Benin to be sure of survival.

Information emanating from both Benin and Akure camps revealed that both sides are not ready to shift grounds. Insurance who just returned to the elite division after eleven years of Lower league actions would not want to go back but rather plot the fall of others to have a taste of relegation.

Coach Monday Odigie’s Insurance technical crew have vowed that the Benin arsenal will not go back to relegation,reassuring their fans that they will direct all their energy into the last two games to sail out of the redline.
