BENIN CITY – Wife of the Edo State Governor, Her Excellency Mrs. Betsy Obaseki, says that Edo State holds the promise of becoming the economic nerve of the Nation.
She stated this during the annual Women Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria WOWICAN conference 2019 held in Benin City the Edo State House.
Mrs. Obaseki said that Edo State named the Heart Beat of Nation is prophetic and that the State will fulfill That prophecy of truly becoming the heart beat.
She urged every citizen and resident of the State wherever they may be in the world to see Edo State in that light so as to make this a reality.
“For them to call Edo State the Heart Beat of the Nation, it’s prophetic and that prophecy must be fulfilled because it’s from the Heart that life flows and it’s from the Heart that blood pumps to all parts of the body.
So the organ that pumps the life to every part of the body is the Heart, the State that will be pumping the life of God to every part of Nigeria is our State.
That is revelation and we should spread this message because when a man does not know who he is, he may not regard himself but when he is informed that he is heir to the throne, he will begin to behave like one.”
Speaking on this year’s theme for the conference “Destiny fulfilment”, the President Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Edo State Chapter Bishop Oyonude Kure tasked the women to always follow God’s instructions in the race of life in other to maximize and fulfill their God given destiny.
“In the race of life with destiny God wants you to do what he called you to do and let your life bring glory and honour to God.”
Earlier, the Chairperson Women Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria WOWICAN Edo state, Mrs Oyonude Kure said the conference which brings women both within and outside the state together is geared towards raising Godly women in accordance with the tenets of the Holy Bible.
The high point of the event was a special prayer session led by Edo State CAN President Bishop Oyonude Kure for continious peace in the State and for the continuity of the Godwin Obaseki Administration in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of the State.
