BENIN CITY-Edo Police Command has invited shortlisted applicants of Edo State origins to the documentation and screening excercise into the Nigeria Police Force, scheduled to commence today, Monday July 1, 2019.
The venue of the excercise is the Police Training School, Ogida, Benin City, beginning at 8 a.m.
A statement endorsed by the Public Relations Officer for Edo Police Command DSP Chidi Nwabuzor directed candidates who applied for the online police recruitment but did not get notification through text messages and emails to report at the state police command headquarters and Police Training School, Ogida, Benin City to check for their names on the list of shortlisted candidates.
The release also enjoined shortlisted candidates to report at the venue in their clean white T. Shirt, white shorts and white canvas.
“They are to come along with the original copies of print out notification letters and credentials for the exercise on the dates indicated against their names.
“Applicants whose names are not shortlisted, parents, guardians, Police officers and officers from other sister security agencies who are not scheduled on duty at the venue are hereby warned to stay away.
“Anyone who by any means violates this warning will be arrested and prosecuted accordingly”. The statement stated.
It disclosed that the Commissioner of Police in Edo State, CP Danmallam Mohammed assured the shortlisted applicants of adequate security of their lives and property during the exercise, as he had deployed the Police Mobile Force, Anti Terrorism Squad and Anti Bomb Squad personnel to the venue.
It however maintained that the CP advised them to conduct themselves in a discipline and orderly manner just as he wished them success in the recruitment exercise.
