BENIN CITY-Security in Edo State has received another major boost as the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, zone 5, AIG Paul Yakadi re-strategized with the Commissioner of Police and other principal officers of the state command in Benin City.
Edo CP DanMallam Mohammed led his Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and other senior personnel in the command to the well-attended closed door brainstorming forum that lasted several hours at the police officers mess, GRA, Benin City, last Friday.
AIG Yakadi told journalists after the meeting that security on major roads in Edo, issue of kidnapping and other related crimes took centre stage of the interaction.
He explained that technology and Intelligence-based measure of policing would be intensified as hard times awaited unrepentant criminals in the state.
AIG Yakadi commended CP DanMallam Mohammed for the various tremendous achievements so far recorded by Edo Police Command.
He however assured that the new strategies mapped out would further promote enhance effective and efficient security of lives and property in the state.
Earlier, CP DanMallam Mohammed stated that the meeting with the AIG Yakadi was fashion out lasting solution to security issues confronting the state.
He however reassured Edo residents of adequate protection of lives and property as operatives of the command in synergy with other sister agencies would not rest on their oars.
