Abudu – The Chairman of Orhionmwon Local Government Area (LGA) of Edo state, Hon. Sylvester Okoro has assured the council workers of his administration’s commitment to pay salaries as at when due.

Hon. Okoro gave the assurance on Thursday, while addressing the council staffs in a meeting, at Abudu, administrative headquarters of Orhionmwon LGA.

He said the council will only pay workers that reports to their duty posts to carry out their function, in line with the vision of the state governor, Godwin Obaseki.

According to him, “you will get your salaries as at when due, I promise you people that.

“My administration will key into the developmental agenda of Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki of no work no pay. You can not be at home and received an alert, no way”.

He however commended the workers for their effort and support for his administration.

On his part, the chairman of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in the council, Mr Ighodaro Mathew assured the council’s management of the staffs commitment to put in their best.

Meanwhile, the new Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA) in the council, Dr. Osaheni Igbinigie was formally introduced to the workers by the LG Boss.

Dr. Igbinigie was recently redeployed from Oredo to Orhionmwon LGA.
