BENIN CITY-The deputy Odionwere (Assistant village head) of Iguadolor Community in Ovia North East local government area of Edo State, Pa, Iguma Amasowomwan is now in police net over the barbaric murder of a woman, her daughter and grandson in the Community on Wednesday, September 11, 2019.
Pa. Amasowomwan was picked last Thursday, September 12, 2019 by operatives of Ogida Divisional Headquarters following allegations of complicity levelled against him by the deceased family.
Our reporter sighted the community Second-in-Command inside an office at the Anti-Cult unit of the state police command headquarters, Benin City, where he was being interrogated about 5:23P.M, last Friday.
The victims, Mrs. Alice Omorogbe, 52, her daughter a nursing mother Mrs. Blessing Efe, 25, and her six months old baby boy were gruesomely murdered at their private residence in an isolated area of Iguadolor Community, near Benin City.

It was gathered that the nursing mother and her two little children were there on a visit when the killers struck.
A two-year-old daughter of the nursing mother identified as Gift Efe was seen alive amid the three mutilated bodies of victims.
When our reporter visited the scene last weekend, it was observed that the assailants accessed their victims room after destroying the old zinc used to cover the windows.
The victims pool of blood was visible on the floor and two mantrases in the room.
It was gathered that the brutal killings were discovered about 4:00P.M when one of the victims’ sons who lives in Benin went to the house to visit his mother, that fateful day.
He was said to had raised the alarm that pulled some residents to the scene.

visional Police Officer (DPO) of Ogida Divisional Headquarters SP Taiwo was said to had been contacted, immediately arranged for ambulance that evacuated the bodies to mortuary.
Condemning the killings, the eldest son of the Odionwere (village head) of Iguadolor Community Mr Enaruna Omorogbe identified slain Mrs. Alice Omorogbe as his late brother’s wife, Mrs. Blessing Efe as his niece and her baby his grandniece.
He accused the Okaighele (youths leader) of Iguadolor Community one Perrick Egbon of complexity in the dastardly act.

Mr. Enaruna Omorogbe alleged that Mr. Perrick Egbon had recently threatened to eliminate his late brother’s wife for having the gut to report him to some elders in the community for using bulldozer to demolish her uncompleted building.
He also alleged that Mr. Perrick Egbon had threatened to deal with his father the Odionwere of Iguadolor Pa. Omorogbe Avanrenren over land related disputes.
In a telephone chat, Perrick Egbon denied the allegations and appealed to the police and relevant authorities to unravel and prosecute the perpetrators.
Mr. Perrick Egbon said as the Okaighele of the community he was deeply saddened by the killings even though he did know victims from Adams.
Attempts to obtain comments from the spokesman for Edo Police Command DSP Chidi Nwabuzor and his principal CP DanMallam Mohammed were unsuccessful.
