Following anguish created by the cruel invasion and subsequent attacked and killing of scores of farmers and injured many in a farm in an interior village at Zamfara State in a mid-2014, one of the farmers attacked and injured in the process in his farm, Odughu Ehis, has abruptly turned to kidnapper in Edo state and belonged to a gang that kidnapped a woman name withheld, just as he alongside others, have been declared wanted after one of the gang members had been arrested.

It would be recalled that the said Odughu Ehis having been frustrated by the Fulani herdsmen’s attack became dented to one Alhaji whose name not known, who happens to always give him loan to produce yams in the farm.

It was, revealed that no sooner the fulani herdsmen invaded their farms, attacked and killed some farmers and injured some, than the said Alhaji started demanding for the pay back of the loan by Odughu Ehis.

But the said farmer, who became bankrupt and enmeshed in a huge debt, told the Alhaji to exercise patience to enable him redeem the said loan but disagreed with the farmer, the Alhaji who supposed to listen to his predicament then lured him (Odughu Ehis) into kidnapping.

In one of their kidnapping missions, a woman was kidnapped and while they were demanding for a ransom from the victim’s family, one of the kidnappers was arrested and implicated the other members of the gang including Odughu Ehis after confessing to the crime.

It was on that premise they were declared wanted particularly Odughu Ehis, who was extraordinary declared wanted to enable him face prosecution since kidnapping is a grief offence which carries seven years jail term.

It was early this month (September 2019) after the long protracted investigation which commenced in 2014, had been diligently carried out and indicted the kidnapping gang especially the said Odughu Ehis.
