Three leaders of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Bob Ndukwe, Chilean Eze and Anyadi Paul Okechukwu have been declared wanted for inciting members of the public against the government and for championing the creation of Biafra nation.
The Nigerian Observer learnt that they were among some IPOB members under the searchlight of security agents in South East Nigeria for propagating the creation of Biafra nation and the release of Nnamdi Kanu from detention.
It was gathered that they narrowly escaped being arrested on the 4th of September 2019 during a protest at Aba in Abia State.
According to sources, Anyadi Paul Okechukwi was the one leading the protest on that fateful day talking about the importance of Biafra and what the people will gain when security agents stormed the venue.
The Presence of the security agents caused so much panic in the crowd and when they tried to arrest them they were shielded from the security agents by other IPOB members and in the process, Paul and the other two who were on the podium with him sneaked out of the protest ground.
When contacted a member of IPOB who crave for anonymity said the security agents declared Anyadi Paul Okechukwu and the two others wanted for leading most of the protests of the group, adding that if not for the intervention of other members of the group, the security agents would have shot them when they came to arrest them at Aba.
According to him, ‘the struggle for the creation of Biafra nation will not die and no matter the intimidation from security agents we will not relent in the struggle’
