The Equipment Leasing Association of Nigeria (ELAN) is advocating for leasing for inclusive growth in Nigeria as it is a creative financing alternative that has grown and established globally which facilitates easy access to capital equipment.

In a press release made available to the press, ELAN stated that leasing is an imposing industry in terms of scope and size as leasing tends to meet the diverse equipment needs of the users. The unique attributes of leasing continue to endear it to the market. The whole essence of leasing is to enhance the planning, improvement and development of any economy by building and supporting productive ventures.

Leasing, according to ELAN, has been making significant contribution to the development of the Nigerian economy. “Today, the impact of leasing is felt in all sectors and with current economic realities in the country, leasing is apt in stimulating employment, creating wealth and enhancing inclusive growth,” the statement added.

In order to further propagate these developmental attributes of leasing, the Equipment Leasing Association of Nigeria (ELAN), is holding its 17th National Lease Conference in Benin-City, Edo State.

The national lease conference is the biggest gathering of stakeholders in the leasing industry, which provides a major platform for engagement on pertinent issues affecting the development of the leasing industry and economy, exploring opportunities as well as promoting business networking. The theme for this year’s conference is “Promoting Leasing for Inclusive Growth”.

According to the Executive Secretary of ELAN, Andrew Emonuwa, the conference is packaged to stimulate valuable investments for sustainable growth and development in our national economy. “Essentially, it is expected to further entrench the value propositions of equipment leasing to developmental initiatives, explore the emerging opportunities in our national economy and create effective platform for business networking”.

“Also, the conference will provide direct engagement platform to tap into the new horizon of Edo State’s Benin Industrial Park (BIP) and Agricultural business development initiatives. In recent years, the State is fast turning into a major hub for enormous business opportunities for leasing, this is a major attraction point for investment for the industry.

Expected at the conference, according to the Executive Secretary are high net worth professionals and organisations from within and outside leasing industry including Government MDAs, Financial Institutions, Investors (both local and foreign), Equipment Vendors, Service Providers, Professional Firms, Business Community, Leasing Professionals etc, with renowned experts discussing relevant topics that would further engender the contributions of leasing to the development of the Nigerian economy.

¬The Secretary therefore called on all relevant stakeholders to be a part of this great event to leverage onbusiness networking opportunities, leasing value propositions and market dynamics. He reiterated that the conference offers a veritable platform to further enhance corporate visibility and get businesses more connected to their target markets.

The conference shall be held on Thursday, 21st November, 2019 at Golden Tulip Hotel, GRA, Benin City, Edo State.
