Edo state police command has declared wanted one Stanley Erhaighewu wanted for his alleged involvement in homosexual practice with one Victor Igun after they were reportedly caught in the act by neighbours in Ugbiyokho community in Benin city on 28th, October 2019
A neighbour , who spoke to the Nigerian Observer on condition of anonymity, said the two boys have been friends with each other for several years as such they pay each other visits at their respective homes.
Speaking further, Victor Igun and his longtime lover were caught by unsuspecting neigbhour who walked in unnoticed during Victor’s birthday and caught him and Stanley Erhaighewu intensely kissing while they were undressed, having sex by the corner of Victor’s house.
The Nigerian Observer learned that the sacrilegious act instantly attracted a large crowd at the apartment as it was gathered he screamed out when he met both men making love.
Angered by the sight of the two young boys fondling each other and performing the act of sacrilege,the angry youths of Ugbiyokho community dragged both men out without clothes on and unleashed terror them .
Speaking further , the eyewitness said one of the two boys Victor Igun who confessed to being a long time gay partner of Stanley Erhaighewu ,died as a result of the severe manhandling by the angry youth as his partner was however fortunate to escape from the scene with bodily injuries.
A neighbour in the community simply identified as Osaro told the Nigerian Observer that Stanley Erhaghewu reportedly escaped before the arrival of the police in the neigbhourhood .
It was understood that an act of gay practice in the community was capable of invoking the wrath of the ancestors on the land as cases of mysterious deaths ,famine ,pestilence ,hunger and barreness amongst women had earlier been reported to have taken place as direct consequences of the sacrilegious practice in the land.
Meanwhile ,a statement by the police said that two young boys identified as Stanley Erhaighewu and Victor Igun who were reportedly involved in homosexual practice on October 28th 2019 were caught in the act gay practice .
The statement further said while Victor Igun died as a result of mob attack and had since been taken to the mortuary ,his lover Stanley Erhaighewu escaped .
The police further said that efforts have been made to arrest the fleeing Stanley Erhaighewu for violation of the same-sex act , adding that it will leave nothing to chance in ensuring that he is arrested and prosecuted.
