We Won’t Allow Any Rally In Our LGs, Edo ALGON Warns

BENIN CITY- Chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) and Chairman, Oredo Local Government Council, Mr. Jenkins Osunde has reaffirmed the ban on all political rallies and meetings across the 18 local government councils in the State.

Briefing the media and flanked by other local government Chairmen in the State, Osunde declared, “The All Progressives Congress is one united party. There is no splinter group. We are sending a clear and unequivocal message to anybody under any guise that is parading himself/herself as a splinter group or group of persons from the APC, that there is nothing like that.

As chief security officers of our respective local government areas, we will not allow any group of persons hold any rally or meetings in our local governments because we have the directive from the state and the police authirities that no rally should be held in any local government.

We are respecters of law and order. As chief security officers of our local governments, we will ensure that no rally holds in any local government. If you hold any rally, you are doing that at your own peril.

This is a clear message. If you are planning to hold any rally anywhere have a rethink because we will not allow it”, Osunde concluded.
