BENIN CITY – Orhionmwon local government have commenced the distributions of food items to various wards and villages.

The state government had donated relief materials ti support the people of the state as a result of the stay at home order to stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the Council Boss, Hon. Sylvester Okoro who supervised the sharing, commended Governor Godwin Obaseki for the package while giving strict instructions that items are for the most vulnerable in the society.

“I must commend our Governor for the reliefs package, he understands the inconveniences the stay at home order must have caused hence the reason for this stimulus arrangements for our people”.

“Gov. Obaseki have fine us well in Orhionmwon as a local government here in EdO state, you can see these food items, he also remembered the less privileged in our council’

On his part the Senior Special Assistant to Governor on Community Development, Hon. Orobosa Michael Osaigbovo has assured the people of Orhionmwon that the modalities for sharing the food items will be follow to the letter. He also promised that more of the stay at home packages are still coming to Orhionmwon.

“the modalities for sharing items are already drafted out, we will ensure total compliance. More of this are still coming to Orhionmwon because every households will benefit from the government relief package”.

Speaker, Orhionmwon legislative arm Hon. Anthony Ogbezuwa also commended the governor for his kind gesture.

The council boss personally distributed hands sanitizers in a company of the bags of rice, beans, garri, packs of noodles, salt and millet brought in by governor Godwin Obaseki.
