“as a former House of Assembly candidate for Ilaje Constituency II, in the 2019 state assembly election where I contested on the platform of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), it was indeed an opportunity which I am forever grateful. I want to use this opportunity to thank my political leader in person of Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, former governor of Ondo State and other leaders of the ZLP for giving me the opportunity to fly the party’s flag to contest to represent my constituency.
“At this juncture, it is time for me and my supporters to move forward politically in our quest to bring even development, as well as dividends of democracy to our people in Ilaje constituency II in Ondo State who have suffered neglect over the years. On this note, we cease to be members of ZLP.
“I wish the party best of luck and I pray we all continue to work as we have always been doing for a just and fair society. The journey to freedom is a continuous fight and we shall persevere to achieve it.
“Finally, I ask my supporters to remain calm as announcement for our next move would be communicated to us soon because the forthcoming Ondo gubernatorial polls is a concern to us all, which we owe our society the obligation to participate in and also support the rightful candidate that will drive the industrialization of our dear sunshine state and develop her human capital”, he said
