BENIN CITY – The Edo State Police Command have declared one Imoisili Ebanehita wanted.
In a statement issued to newsmen yesterday at the State Police Headquarters in Benin City, the Command Public Relations Officer, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, stated that Imoisili Ebanehita is wanted in connection with her involvement in lesbianism.
The statement further stated that, the police acting on a tip-off arrested a young lady, Osemwingie Patricia in a gay club and during interrogation, illicit and abominable sexual acts of her and Ebanehita were found both in pictures and videos on her phone. she confessed Ebanehita as her lesbian partner.
The statement further reads that a warrant of arrest was issued for Imoisili Ebanehita and and when policemen got to her family house at Ikpoba Hill in the earlier hours of September 15,2020,she was nowhere to be found.
Subsequently, she has been declared wanted to explain her level of involvement in the same sex crime.
The police have also launch a manhunt for Imoisili Ebanehita as she has not been seen since the arrest of her lesbian partner, Osemwengie Patricia, who will soon appear in court after investigation is concluded
Same sex activities i.e, Lesbianism, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) is banned in the country and it a a Federal Prohibition offense that carries a maximum of fourteen years imprisonment.
