Lagos – The missing Staff of Office of the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu stolen by looters during ENDSARS protests on the Island has mysteriously reappeared at the palace, according to reports.
The information filtered in three days after the Staff of Office was taken away from the palace by hoodlums who stormed the palace in the wake of the breakdown of the #EndSARS protest.
Authoritative source revealed that the staff was returned by the hoodlums on Saturday after threats from the State Government and Office of the king was sent out.
However, sources say Oba Akiolu performed some rituals which must led to the reappearance of the Staff of Office at the palace.
Shortly before the Staff of Office was taken away by some men, Oba Akiolu had been spirited out of the palace by military men.
He was taken away in a pilot car, with security provided by the Nigerian Army and Nigeria Police.
The palace was not only looted, it was destroyed. Even the royal seat of the Oba was damaged.
Another source revealed that traditional cultists called “Egbe Ogboni” did some rituals to make life unbearable for the person in the custody of the Oba staff of office.
“It was as a result of this that the boy with it raised alarm and dropped it at Adeniji Adele road near Oba’s palace for them to see it. It was from there they returned it to the palace”, he added.
