ABUJA – The Executive and members of Edo Community Leaders in Abuja have lauded the Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki and his Deputy, Comrade Phillip Shaibu over their successful inauguration for a second term in office.

Speaking to newsmen in Abuja, the President of the Association of Edo Community in Abuja, Mr. Dickson Omoregie said that the victory of Governor Obaseki couldn’t have been possible if there were no visible signs of his achievements on ground hence the people’s overwhelming reward for good work.

Omoregie said: “Their victory came as a common decision and a roadmap to political orderliness in Edo State which made all Edos both at home and abroad to hold our heads high.”

The President said that now that election was over, all hands should be engaged no matter the party affiliation as long as it will earn a common denominator which is development for Edo State.

The Edo Community Leaders reminded the Governor that holding public trust constitutes responsibility for the people and more work for the people who gave the trust. By so doing, the leaders said, the Governor will be able to leave his feet in sands of time for positive references.

To achieve these expectations, the Edo Community Leaders advised the Governor to be open to engagements from Edos all over the world as this may lead to positive innovations that can propel the wheel of progress of Edo State.

The Edo Leaders also commended all stakeholders and institutions that ensured there was relative peace during the election in Edo State.
