BENIN CITY – The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has condoled with the former Governor of Kano State, Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso, over the death of his father, Alhaji Musa Kwankwaso, who died aged 93.

Obaseki, in a statement, described the late traditional ruler as a patriotic and selfless leader who contributed immensely to the unity and development of the country.

According to the governor, “My dear brother and friend, I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of your beloved father, Alhaji Musa Kwankwaso and hereby convey my condolences to you and your entire family.

“Your father was a patriotic traditional ruler who contributed immensely to the unity and development of the nation. We appreciate God for the very fulfilled life he lived.

“As the District Head of Madobi, he distinguished himself as an upright and selfless leader. His demise at this time is indeed a great loss not only to the people of Kano State but the country at large.”

Obaseki noted that the late Majidadin Kano will be sorely missed by all, praying that God comforts the former governor and grants the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
