BENIN CITY-Unknown gunmen have abducted the Public Relations Officer of the Edo State Command of the Nigerian Immigration Service, NIS, in Benin City.
Sources revealed that the NIS spokeswoman Mrs Bridget Esene was waylaid and whisked away by the gun wielding gang while on her way to church at Ikhueniro area of the state capital, yesterday.
Contacted, the commissioner of police in Edo CP Philip Aliyu Ogbadu said the command has been intimated.
It could not be ascertained at press yesterday if the gunmen have established contact with her family.
