Angry youths in Evbuomodu community in Aduwawa in Ikpoba-Okah local government area of Edo State have set ablaze the house of a man after the death of one Mr.Gabriel Igbinoba .

Mr.Gabriel Igbinoba, it was gathered, was caught in the act of homosexual practice in Benin City with his partner Mr.Ojobo Favour who is said to be on the run .

The deceased homosexual lover was said to have died from the mob attack immediately he was caught in the sacrilegious act but was said to have died from injuries sustained at an undisclosed hospital after he was allegedly tortured by the angry mob.

However, the father of the deceased Mr.Gabriel Igbinoba during an interview with the Nigerian Observer denied any involvement of his deceased son in the incident leading to the destruction of the house of the father of the runaway lover that was set ablaze by some angry mob.

The fire incident which occurred on March 11th 2021, according to a source at the community who spoke with the Nigerian Observer on the condition of anonymity said that the rather unfortunate incident occurred when it was understood that Mr Ojobo Favour has since not been apprehended and brought to justice .

According to the source,it is believed that the family knows about the whereabouts of the runaway Mr.Ojobo Favor as the youths in Evbuomodu community had earlier claimed that mysterious calamities including sudden deaths, afflictions, famine and pestilence befell the community as a result of the sacrilegious abomination committed by the two homosexual lovers.

However the leaders of Evbuomodu community ,according to information gathered, are still on the trail of the runaway Mr.Ojobo Favour and are eager to commence the process of cleansing of the sacrilegious taboo in the community immediately he is apprehended.

In the community, offenders when apprehended are usually offered to the ancestors of the land as part of the cleansing rituals which comes by appeasement of the gods of the land which also include mental and psychological humiliation of the offenders when they are made to walk round the community naked.

Meanwhile , the same- sex prohibition act when contravened by offenders attracts a 14- years imprisonment upon conviction .

In addition ,the police in a statement made available to the Nigerian Observer urged members of the public with useful information that would lead to the arrest of Mr Ojobo Favour to contact the nearest police station for a handsome reward in order to avert any future attack or continued threat to life of the runaway Mr.Ojobo Favour by the angry youths in the community.
