OKHUE-ESAN – The Onogie of Okhue-Esan Kingdom, Zaiki Ehidiamen Ataimen III has urged youths to shun all forms of vices, develop their capacities and emulate Victor Osimhen, the international footballer from Okhue-Esan Royal family who is making Edo State and Okhue-Esan proud in his Napoli football club of Italy as well as Super
Eagles of Nigeria.

The Royal father who made the remark while welcoming guests to the 2021 Annual Okhue-Esan Day Celebration held from 2nd to 4th April, 2021 at the Onogie Palace Ground, Okhue-Esan Town, in Esan South East LGA of Edo State, also commended the State Governor, Mr.

Godwin Obaseki for his numerous reforms and immense respect for the rule of law and traditional institutions in the state.

The Monarch, who was visibly delighted that the event was wellattended by sons and daughters of the Kingdom from home and in the Diaspora commended Governor Godwin Obaseki for making impactful in-road in his aggressive efforts at industrialising Edo State, culminating in making the state an industrial hub, adding that the Governor’s fundamental reforms have restored dignity to the state civil service just as the reconstruction and renovation of the State Secretariat has further dignified the service.

HRH Ehidiamen Ataimen III also lauded the Governor for the prompt payment of salaries and pensions to civil servants and pensioners; 24- hour power supply to government ministries and parastatals and the swift preparedness of the state for COVID-19 pandemic, thereby reducing the incidences of the disease and bringing sanity to the state.

The Royal father urged his people to continue to pray and support the Obaseki-led government in order to attain its lofty goals.The monarch, who disclosed that it is the 15th year of his enthronement as the Onogie of Okhue-Esan Kingdom, used the occasion to highlight some of his modest achievements, despite obvious challenges, adding that “we have every reason to continue to strive to record more achievements”.

While he urged all sons and daughters of Okhue-Esan Kingdom to continue to be law-abiding, united and committed to the growth, peace, progress and stability of the kingdom, the monarch thanked them for their unflinching support and cooperation in the past 15 years.
