The NBM of Africa, a non-governmental organization committed to the principles of democracy, equity, and social justice has frowned at the way and manner some non-members of the organization usually associated the name Black Axe with its members.

To this end, the NBM disclaimed the name ‘Black Axe’, adding that the need to alert the relevant authorities of the disclaimer became imperative.

In a release from the office of the NBM, Uhuru Heritage Center, Benin city and signed by its lawyers Kelvin Agbroko and Associates, the leadership of the organization maintained that NBM movement being a registered non-governmental organization with the core aims/ objectives anchored on principles of democracy, equity/social justice as well as dedicated to the promotion, protection and the advancement of black solidarity, world peace, international cooperation/understanding, equality and social justice for disadvantaged persons in the global space had no nexus with such name as Black Axe.

According to the release, ”In no event shall our client (NBM OF AFRICA) be liable for any act either special, direct, indirect, consequential or any damages whatsoever arising from action(s), either, either individually, jointly, collectively or severally in connection with person or group of persons who use the name ‘Black Axe’ or claimed to be members of Black Axe”.

The movement further warned of impending necessary legal action against any individual, group, agencies of government, media organizations as well as members of the public who might drag the name of the NBM into disrepute or public opprobrium by associating the organization’s members with the name and activities of Black Axe.
