The Southern Governors Wives Forum SGWF under the Chairmanship of the First Lady of Edo State, Her Excellency Betsy Obaseki just concluded their quarterly meeting coinciding with the end of the two year tenure of the sitting Exco members of the Forum.
The Forum during the meeting at the Edo House Abuja, conducted their elections where the First Lady of Osun State, Her Excellency Kafayat Oyetola by consensus emerged the new Chair of the SGWF.
The First Lady of Akwa Ibom State Her Excellency Martha Udom was elected Vice Chairperson, the First Lady of Bayelsa State Her Excellency Gloria Diri was elected Secretary, the First Lady of Imo State, Her Excellency Chioma Uzodinma was elected Treasurer of the Forum, the First Lady of Abia State, Her Excellency Nkechi Ikpeazu was elected Public Relations Officer while the First Lady of Ogun State Her Excellency Bamidele Abiodun is in charge of Welfare.
The Forum also resolved to undertake common projects collectively that will impact the region in particular and the country as a whole, in support of their Spouses, the Governors.
