IGUOVBIOBO- (UHUNMWONDE)- Over his alleged continuous refusal to ascend the throne of Ohen (Chief Priest) of the popular Umuegbe Deity, the Elders and People of Iguovbiobo Village, Uhunmwonde Local Government Area of Edo State have declared the Ohen designate, one Jonathan Favour wanted dead or alive

It would be recall since the death of Favour’s father, the immediate past Ohen of the village in 1999, it was learnt that there has being vacuum for the position in the Community.

It was gathered by our crime correspondent that trouble started following the completion of burial rites of Favour’s father, Pa. Igbinovia Jonathan whose Ohen’s position is hereditary and the subsequently chosen of his eldest son Favour as the next Chief Priest.

A source who pleaded not to be mentioned in print owing to security reasons said that “Favour” rejected the position of Chief Priest of the Umuegbe Deity specifically because of his strong Christian faith, Mother’s Christan strong belief and the need not to be isolated from the the people.

“Jonathan Favour has in countless occasions escaped death by whiskers as the Community have vowed to coerced him to accept the Chief Priest offer or pay with his life.

“Following the expiration of the deadline given to him by the elders and people of the community, the people became more violent about their resolved to forcing Favour to accept the offer, a situation that may have informed him to run for his dear life especially as Favour was last seen sometimes May, 2016”, the source disclosed.

He, however, appealed passionately to authorities who may known the whereabouts of the fleeing Favour Jonathan to have compassion on him by ensuring his safety.

Contacted for comment, the Edo State Police Public Relations Officer ( PPRO), DSP Stephen Onwochei, confirmed the report, and maintained that the command have commenced preliminary investigation into the matter.

He disclosed that no arrest have been made in connection with the disappearance of Favour.
