WARRI – A middle-aged lady, identified as Michelle Bazunu, has been allegedly gruesomely murdered at her residence in Bazunu Street, Warri South council area of Delta State.
Details of the incident were still sketchy as at Thursday, but it was gathered that the deceased was found with multiple stab wounds and her throat slit in the early hours of Wednesday, October 13, at No1 Bazunu Street, Warri.
The area which is close to the popular Igbudu Market in Warri, is notorious for some heinous crimes.
Security operatives were said to have stormed the area in a raid, a while after the victim was gruesomely, murdered.
It was not clear if the victim was home alone, when the hoodlum(s) struck, as residents were unwilling to comment on the incident.
Meanwhile, some friends have taken to one of her social media pages to mourn the deceased and wish her assailant(s) an ill-fated end.
She was described her as loving, full of life and harmless.
When contacted, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bright Edafe, could not confirm the sad incident.
He noted that the case may not have been reported to the police Division that covers the area where the dastardly act was committed.
