BENIN CITY – To engender good governance through adherence to the rule of law, the British Council’s “Rule of Law and Anti- corruption (ROLAC)” programme yesterday interfaced with journalists to mainstream on setbacks, issues and way forward on crime investigation and reportage as to boost justice delivery in Nigeria.

The ROLAC Consultant, Chibogu Obinwa who informed that the Rolac programme was a British Council’s initiative to enhance good governance in Nigeria, contributing to strengthening of the rule of law to curb corruption; encouraged participants as critical stakeholders to ventilate on good and grey areas to boost the policy dialogue on the role of journalists in the justice and anti corruption reform.

Media practitioners drawn from mainstream and online platforms had a robust cross pollination of ideas while sharing experiences on the field of duty and the need to make the freedom of information (FOI) Act effective and implementable in the pursuit of justice.
