WARRI – The chairman of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Delta State chapter, Deacon Monday Ifoghere and his wife, who were kidnapped last Sunday on their way to their residence in Eku, Ethiope East local government area of Delta State, have regained their freedom.
It was gathered that the couple was released Saturday night, after paying an undisclosed sum as ransom to the kidnappers.
A source who preferred anonymity disclosed this Sunday morning, stating simply, “they have been released”.
Ifoghere is the executive director of Patmon Schools, Eku.
Recall that just about a fortnight about, ago, nine persons, including four final year students of the Delta State University (DELSU) were kidnapped by gunmen around the same axis.
Delta State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bright Edafe, could not be reached as at press time.
