BENIN CITY – Two persons, are currently on the run over the alleged murder of one Osas at a drinking joint in the Siluko Road axis of Benin City on December 30, 2021.
They are Amadin Anthony and a lady, simply identified as Queen.
They were said to have conspired to murder their victim after a heated argument over yet to be ascertained issues.
Though no one has volunteered to speak with newsmen on the matter, the argument was said to have attracted the attention of the bar owner and other guests present who unsuccessfully tried to prevail on the situation.
Meanwhile, the Police in the Ogida Police Division have arrested the bar owner who, as at press time was still being detained for interrogation.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Edo State command, Mr Childi Nwabuzo confirmed the incident to newsmen.
According to him, besides the bar owner, no other arrests have been made in connection with the alleged murder
He said that the Police authorities have launched a manhunt for the principal suspects, Amadin Anthony and Queen who are presently on the run.
Nwabuzo disclosed that after interrogation, those arrested would be tried in the law court to ascertain their culpability or otherwise.
He however called on members of the public for useful information that could assist the Police in the arrest of the principal suspects.
