BENIN CITY – Edo Dynamos Handball Club today continued their impressive form in the ongoing National Division 1 Handball league holding in Benin City after narrowly defeating Kwara United by 23 goals to 22.

Dynamos scored their winning goal within the last 30 seconds of the game after being awarded a penalty, as the first half ended nine goals apiece.

Speak with Journalists after the game, head coach of Edo Dynamos Ijeh Kingsley who noted his sides’ intention is promotion to the Handball Premiership league blamed his boys for losing too many chances which almost cost them the game.

Coach Ijeh further explained that “we had a player injured yesterday and we built our defence around him, that’s why our defence is a little bit shaky, but he is getting better and we hope before the end of the tournament he will be back”

Also speaking with newsmen, head coach of Kwara United Handball team Nnamani Emeka Joseph explained that they have taken the game in good faith noting “when you lost you take it in good faith, when you win you take it in good faith as well. We have tried our best and our best was not good enough to win. But at least, we have showed the world what handball is and the world was against us and there was nothing we can do about it”.
