BENIN CITY- Edo State Internal Revenue Service (EIRS) has announced the availability of new number plates at its corporate and branch offices.
In a press release made available to the Nigerian Observer Newspaper, the EIRS stated, “As part of the mandate to render value added service, we wish to inform the general public that we have received from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Number Plates which are presently available at the EIRS Corporate and Branch Offices across the State.”
While apologising for any inconveniences caused by the delay in bringing out new number plates largely due to the turnaround maintenance carried out at the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) production plants across the country, EIRS informed all vehicle, tricycle and motorcycle owners to get their expired vehicle documentation or particulars validated as driving with expired vehicle particulars is a contravention of the extant road traffic laws.
Management of EIRS called on concerned members of the public to channel their enquiries on number plate applications to 0813 097 0146, 0809 203 8444 or visit www.eirs.gov.ng as well as send e-mail to [email protected]
