Benin City – Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, has restated the commitment of the present administration towards youths empowerment for self actualization in achieving societal development.

The Deputy Governor made the remarks, when he spoke through the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Deputy Governor, Mrs. Bose Jane Igbinobaro, during the presentation of cash prizes to winners of a talent hunt event, at the Government House, Benin City.

“As a Government, our commitment towards harnessing the potentials of our teeming
youths and giving them the platform to thrive is one of the cardinal objectives of the present administration,under the able leadership of Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki”.

According to the Deputy Governor, the prizes were token of his reward and encouragement to the talented youths who emerged winners at last year’s “Next Star Talent Hunt”, organized by Crazy Entertainment, a Benin – based show-biz out fit and supported by the Edo State Government through Edo Jobs.

Shaibu noted: ” l urge our youths to remain focused and continue to make Edo proud in all they do”.

“Let me admonish you to keep your heads low, be humble, keep being good ambassadors of the State and let’s see you take this discovery to the next level.”

Appreciating the gesture of the Deputy Governor, the youths who were visibly excited, expressed profound thanks to the State number two citizen for fulfilling his promise.
Their spokesman, ‘the orator’, affirmed: ” We will not let the digital Deputy Governor down. We promise to always make Edo State proud in all our endeavours”.

The ceremony had in attendance, Managing Director of Edo Jobs, Mrs. Ukinebo Dare, as well as the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Comrade Ebomhiana Musa.
