BENIN CITY – The Edo State Government has announced the suspension of the Edo State Taskforce on Development Control and Environmental Issues domiciled at the Ministry of Environment and Sustainability.

In a statement by Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie Esq., the government said that it will, in due course, inaugurate a new taskforce for sanitation to enforce matters relating to environmental sanitation.

According to him, “Members of the public are by this announcement advised to desist from engaging with the defunct taskforce on matters of development control and report anyone found parading themselves as members of the taskforce to the relevant security agencies.
