Edo State Chairman of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, Evangelist Margaret Agbonifo has urged Nigerians to vote leaders with conscience and love for the nation
The PFN chairman who made the call during a prayer session held by the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, Edo State council at the Press Centre, Benin City said Nigerians are good and wonderful people, but what we need are leaders with conscience and love for the nation.
According to the cleric, “you only know a true leader by the evidence seen from them, noting that what they say does not make them a competent leader.
“The challenge is that people who want to lead come with promises, but what they do is different from their promises.
“Early this year, I was here and we prayed for the leadership of the NUJ, led by Festus Alenkhe and today six months after, I am impressed with what I have seen. You know a leader by evidence,” she noted.
She prayed that the good work embarked upon by the Union will chase away darkness and anyone that wants to stand against the good works will be contended by heaven.
“I am very impressed with the new look of journalists who are well dressed, the beautiful structures and furniture’s. The Edo Journalists can always make a difference when they cooperate with the leadership of the NUJ. I pray that it will be well with all the journalists in the state,” she added.
The NUJ Chairman, Comrade Festus Alenkhe said the Edo PFN chairman was made the mother of the union because the prayers of the mother will always go a long way to protect the Journalists, adding that it is the desire of the leadership of the Union that all journalists in the state prosper and he promised to continue to move the Union forward.
