The Nigeria Football Federation’s Challenge Cup competition tagged Aiteo Cup 2022 has been scheduled to kickoff nationwide on Wednesday, July 27,2022 with Bendel Insurance FC Feeders paired against FMC FC of Kogi in the third fixture of the first round at the UNEC Stadium, Enugu state. Kickoff time is 4:00PM.
Seventy-three clubs are registered for the nation’s biggest football competition, consisting seventeen NPFL teams, 26 NNL,15 NLO and 15 non league teams.
Insurance Feeders are among the eighteen new comers in the rookies Knockout fixtures scheduled for tomorrow across designated venues including Enugu, Owerri, Abuja, Bauchi, Jos among others. Nine teams are expected to progress from this first round fixtures to join the bigger teams,including Insurance FC senior team in the round of 64.
The young Benin Arsenals are in Aiteo Cup competition for the first time after beating B.J Foundation FC 1-0 and Eagle Wings FC 5-4(shootout) in the quarter finals and semi finals respectively in Edo FA Cup last month to qualify along with their senior brothers who are champions of the competition in Edo state.
Insurance Feeders of Benin and FMC of kogi are meeting for the first time and do not know much about themselves and the game promises to be physical and entertaining.
A win for coach Stanley Osazee popularly called Coach Sheyi led Insurance Feeders in Enugu will pair them against Damaz FC of Lagos in the round of 64,scheduled to hold in Ilorin on Saturday,July 30,2022.
Meanwhile, Bendel Insurance FC senior team and Katsina Utd junior team have been scheduled to slug it out in the round of 64 of the Aiteo Cup competition. The fixture is billed for Minna,Niger state on Saturday, July 30.
