Following a tip off, Operatives of Delta State Police Command have rescued three pregnant women from a baby factory and arrested 37 criminal suspects, including 35 cults suspects in Delta.

The unidentified women were rescued on Friday, June 10, by the police of a baby factory located in Obodogba community where they were being held hostage.

According to a statement issued by Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Bright Edafe, two suspects; Promise Ejogu ‘m’ 25 and Aruna Sulieman ‘m’ 29 were arrested after the raid on the factory.

One of the Suspects, Promise Ejogu, was a brother to the ring leader of the syndicate which engages in sexual activities with the women to get them pregnant, the statement asserted.

The statement also affirmed the arrest of 10 suspected cultists who were planing an attack on residents of Oshimili North and Oshimili South LGA by combined team comprising of Raiders Squad, operatives from GRA Division and Area Command Asaba.

A fabricated AK-47 rifle, charms, fake Vigilante ID card, and AC &DC Black Ice confraternity regalias were recovered from them upon the arrest on Saturday of that same week.

Furthermore, 25 suspected members of Black Axe Confraternity who were also arrested during their initiation ceremony at Zion Road Ibusa and three Aye confraternity regalias, one military vest, a pair of Aye confraternity stockings and three cut-to-size locally-made guns.

Other Items recovered from them were, four live cartridges, a gallon of substances suspected to be liquid hard drugs, four vehicles, and four motorcycles.
