BENIN CITY: The Benin monarch, His Royal Majesty Omo N’Oba Ewuare the second has advocated for synergy amongst the various security agents to stern the tide of worsening situation in Nigeria

The monarch stated this shortly after being installed as the ground patron of Nigeria Hunters and forestry security Service at his palace in Benin.

The royal father posited that efforts of the conventional security agents could be completed by the forest and hunters security service to enhance the security architecture of the country.

Oba Ewuare who expressed delight over the award said the presence of forest security would benefit the Nigeria society especially in areas of food production and security.

Earlier on his his part, the Commandant General of Hunters and forest security service, Dr Wole Osatimehin Joshua, told the monarch that he led top officials of the group to his palace to install the Oba as the ground patron of hunter and Forest security service and as well seek for royal blessings and prayers.

The commandant general says the hunters and forest security service is geared towards protecting and safeguarding the forest against bandits, killer herdsmen and other criminal gangs.

He added that the hunters and forest security service has also been playing a complementary roles to the conventional security agents

Correspondent repots that the bill setting up Nigeria Hunters and Fores Security Service has passed through third reading at the floor of the Senate.
