Shaibu Tees Off Captain’s Inaugural Golf Tourney

Despite the early morning downpour today, the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, UBTH Golf Course was beehives of activities as a result of the one-day Captain’s Inaugural Tournament to celebrate the newly-elected Captain of Ugbowo Golf Club, Hon Matthew Iduoriyekemwen.

The ceremonial Tee Off was jointly taken by the former captain of Benin Golf Club, Kingsley Okunbor, Hon. Gabriel Okpuno, Captain of Ogunu Golf Resort Warri, Peters Omaruaye and the Acting Governor of Edo State, Rt Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu and other prominent Golfers from other Golf Clubs Nationwide.

The other prominent Golfers drawn from Over 100 notable golf clubs within and outside Nigeria stormed strait 18 holes Course in Ugbowo for the tournament in honour of Iduoriyekemwen who is also the PDP candidate for Edo South Senatorial Zone in the 2023 General election.
