It was a show of character and strength as Bendel Insurance Football Club Feeders team defeated Dannaz FC of Lagos in the second round of 2022 Aiteo Cup competition in Ilorin.

The Benin Arsenal lads saved the best for the last, as substitute Osazee Obasuyi’s 85th minute header ensured a 1-0 victory for Insurance Feeders against the Lagosians, Dannaz FC. Thanks to Kennedy Osemudiamen whose fine corner kick was a mystery for Dannaz FC defenders who left the ‘headmaster’ Osazee Obasuyi unmarked to do them harm.

The Lagos based side however made the first half of the game difficult for coach Stanley Osazee led Insurance Feeders but the Benin boys managed to curtail the offensives of the highly mobile Dannaz FC to end the first half in a barren situation.

Insurance Feeders goalie Abuchi Okeke was outstanding in between the post for his side as his confidence in his position was a moral booster for the Benin Arsenals who indeed rolled out their reserved Arsenals in the second half of the game.

As expected in the second half, the Insurance Feeders tactician popularly called coach Sheyi applied his technical wizardry as he changed his formation along the introduction of the match winner Osazee Obasuyi and former captain Sylvester Eweka who were instrumental to the hard earned 1-0 victory.

Insurance Feeders will now face NLO 1 side Akure City in the round of 32 which is likely going to be midweek fixture

The NLO 1 side defeated Nnewi Utd 5-4 on shootout after a 1-1 score line at regulation period of 90 minutes
