Benin City: The Edo State Development Property Agency (EDPA) has concluded plans to hand over 68 housing units to subscribers of its affordable housing scheme in Emotan Gardens Estate, Benin City, the state capital.

Managing Director of EDPA, Mr. John Zedomi, in a chat with journalists, said the units are captured under Emotan Gardens Phase I, which has since been completed.

According to him, “We will be handing over 68 units of 2-3 bedroom bungalows to our subscribers in the state. Subsequently, the State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki will formally flag off the development of Phase 2 of Emotan Gardens Estate, which comprises 140 housing units.”

“We are currently setting out the layout and embarking on the road mapping. At the Agency, there is a relentless desire and commitment to providing qualitative and affordable modern housing units to interested subscribers across the state and beyond.

“This 2nd Phase is one of the many other housing projects we will embark upon to increase the housing stock in the state. This is in line with the Making Edo Great Again (MEGA) Agenda.”

He continued: “Under the leadership of Governor Godwin Obaseki, who is very passionate about the provision of affordable housing for the Edo people and peaceful-loving residents of the state, we have been given the needed leverage to continue to do our best to meet the housing needs of our people within the state and even beyond.”
