EKPOMA – The Board and members of Josemaria Escriva Foundation have paid a condolence visit on the Onojie of Ekpoma, HRH Anthony Abumere ll to commiserate with him on the death of his mother, Queen Mother Mary Edede Akhimien.

The Foundation members who were led to the palace by the Chief Responsibility Officer, Dr. Jude Obasanmi, had the Chairman of the Board of Josemaria Foundation, Prof. Matthew Izibili, Prof. Mrs. Elizabeth Ifidon, other members of the board, staff and volunteers.

In his condolence speech, the Foundation’s Board chairman, Prof. Matthew Izibili expressed sadness at the demise of the queen mother, and urged the monarch to take solace in the fact that his departed mother lived a good life.

He prayed God to give the monarch and the entire royal family the fortitude to bear the loss, in such a way the occurrence will not usher in anything terrible.

“We thought it necessary and proper to come and condole with you. Just as it is recognized by our culture and even in the occidental world that those that are bereaved, should have people around them to say take it easy. It is our prayer that God who has allowed it to happen would condole the highness himself, his entire family such that the occurrence will not usher in anything terrible. That is why we are here”, he said.

In similar vein, the Concerned Ekpoma Eminent Stakeholders Forum (CEESF), led by the Convener, Comrade Dr. Jude Obasanmi has paid a condolence visit to the palace to Onojie of Ekp[oma, HRH Zaiki Anthony Abumere ll over the demise of his mother.

In a condolence speech, Dr. Obasanmi, the Chief Convener of the Forum, said they were in the palace to sympathize with the monarch over the death of his mother and urge him to be strong.

He pledged the readiness of the forum to support and participate fully in every way possible during the burial activities of the late queen mother.
