The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has approved the constitution of the Governing Board of the Edo State Public Procurement Agency.

In a statement, Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie Esq., said the board is to be headed by Hon. Justice Osaretin S. Uwuigbe (Rtd).

Ogie noted, “The Edo State Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, has, in accordance with sections 5 (1&2) and 6 of the Edo State Public Procurement Law 2020 approved the constitution of the Governing Board of the Edo State Public Procurement Agency.”

“The members-nominee of the newly constituted governing board are: Hon. Justice Osaretin S. Uwuigbe (Rtd), as Chairman.”

Other members of the Committee are Deborah Enakhimion Esq.; Mrs. Priscillia Aziegbemhin; Mr. Bernard Aigbe; Mr. S. U. Ibhadon; Iserhienrhien Efe; Mr. S. Osagie Obakpolor; Mr. Henry Imogiemhe Idogun.

Also on the newly constituted board are: Mr. O.O Akpan; Rev. Dr. Mrs. H.E. Atekha-Odemwingie JP; Engr. Evukowhiroro Ojegba; Dr. Paul Osikhena Ogbiti; Sharly West Uwabor Eboigbe; Chief Nosa Edo-Osagie, and Comrade Bishop Osadolor Anthony Ochie.

Ogie added that, “The name of the Chairman of the Governing Board has been forwarded to the Edo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation. The governing board will be inaugurated on a date to be announced later.”

Meanwhile, the Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has constituted a 7-man Independent Procurement Complaints Resolution Committee chaired by Mr. Austin Osakue.

In a statement, Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie Esq., said members are not expected to be involved in the procurement process.

He said, “The Edo State Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, has approved the constitution of an Independent Procurement Complaints Resolution Committee for the Edo State Public Procurement Agency whose members are not expected to be involved in the procurement process.

“The members of the Committee include: Mr. Austin Osakue as Chairman.”

Other members of the committee, according to the Secretary to the State Government, are: “Mr. Victor Obasohan; Engr. Omoregie Ehigie Amstrong JP; Dr. Chukwuemeka Patrick Ogbu; Mr. Ononfa E. Sunday; Mr. Sunday Nosakhare Ugbogbo.

Ogie said Dr. Idemudia Oaihimire will serve as Secretary of the committee, noting, “The committee will be inaugurated on a date to be announced later.”
