A post by the Argentine superstar, Lionel Messi, has received over 68.5 million likes on Instagram, emerging as the most liked post on the platform, thereby surpassing the record set by World Record Egg which previously had 55.7 million likes.

Messi, 35 years, recently led his country Argentina to a world cup success in Qatar, after his country emerged victorious after a penalty duel with France, who won the edition held in Russia in 2018.
