Rashford and Martial star in Man United’s win over Nottingham Forest. Marcus Rashford scored his 10th goal of the season to help Manchester United beat Nottingham Forest 3-0 on Tuesday. The England international also set up Anthony Martial’s goal. Substitute Fred completed the scoring later on at Old Trafford. United went on to win the Premier League fixture 3-0, closing the gap to the top four positions.

Rashford’s goal continues his impressive form that has led to United manager Erik ten Hag predicting the forward can reach 20 goals for the season. He has already doubled his total from last term when he managed only five in a campaign disrupted by issues over fitness and form.

Argentina World Cup winner Lisandro Martinez has celebrated Manchester United victory over Nottingham Forest in Tuesday’s Premier League action at Old Trafford. Martinez, who hasn’t joined up with the rest of the club’s squad after winning the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar with Argentina celebrated on Twitter. “Well done lads #MUFC,” the Tweet reads.

United went into the match on the back of a run of six wins from its last seven games in all competions. But it still started the day four points behind fourth-placed Tottenham.

Steve Cooper’s men have not scored a league goal away from the City Ground since 20 August and remain second bottom.

For United, it completed a fourth successive victory in all competitions and underlined the theory that the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo will not have a negative effect on the remainder of their season.
