Seven months after she welcomed a son with rapper A$AP Rocky, Barbadian singer Rihanna has publicly shared a video of the child, giving fans a first glimpse.
The 45-second video shared on TikTok on December 17, 2022 shows the singer and her baby boy riding around in the backseat of a car. The baby yawns, smiles and tries to grab the phone from Rihanna’s hand and she exclaims, “Ooh! You trying to get mommy’s phone.”
The video, which turns out to be her first post on TikTok, is jokingly captioned “Hacked”.
Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, and A$AP Rocky welcomed their baby boy on 13 May, 2022.
The singer, actress, businesswoman, and Fenty Beauty founder had announced she was expecting a child at the top of the year with a viral photo shoot in New York City.
For months she rocked enviable maternity fashion looks showing off her baby bump at various events, including top fashion shows in Milan and Paris.
Not long after, she returned to work with her Savage x Fenty Vol. 4 runway show where she described her son to British Vogue as “the happiest baby”.
“He’s fun. No matter what you’re doing or what you’re feeling, when he smiles at you, everything else goes away,” Rihanna told the publication.
On his part, A$AP Rocky had teased In an interview with Complex published December 5 that the photos of the baby would be “coming soon”.
Reports say fans will get to see even more Rihanna when she takes the stage in February for the Super Bowl LVII halftime show. The “Lift Me Up” singer hinted at her performance by posting a photo of a football to her Instagram in September.
The couple has yet to make the name of their son public.
