Soccer lovers are in for a lot of sparks and thrills as Bendel Insurance lock horns with Plateau United on Thursday (today) in one of the week 2 fixtures of the 2022/23 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Bendel Insurance will be looking to continue with their fine start in the ongoing NPFL when they take on the 2017 Champions Plateau United at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City after beating the 2021 Champions Akwa United 2-0 in the curtain raiser game of Sunday, January 8, 2023, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

In Uyo, Imade Oserenkhoe and Sarki Ismael scored in the 39th and 42nd minutes to give the Insurance the away win.

The Insurance-Plateau match is expected to come with some sparks and thrills as both teams need to end it on a positive note.

Bendel Insurance will want to consolidate on their 2-0 away win by coming all out against the visitors who forced Shooting Stars FC to a 3-3 draw in Jos on Sunday and as well will not want to disappoint their proprietors and fans at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.

The last time Insurance FC played a premier league game at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium was in 2008 when they defeated Nasarawa Utd 1-0.
